At the date of 25 Mei 2023, The NAM Training Center Tangerang witnessed the implementation of the Crew Emergency Training (CET) held by FAAST Aviation Yogyakarta, January batch 2023. This activity is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed by cabin crew in dealing with emergency situations on an airplane. In this series of activities, participants are involved in the training material, fire fighting training, first aid treatment, simulation using a mockup, wet drill, and many more.
One of the important aspects of Crew Emergency Training (CET) is to ensure that each cabin crew understands their roles and responsibilities well in dealing with emergency situations in the air. The training materials provided cover safety procedures, evacuation, and effective communication. Participants were also given knowledge about emergency equipment, like life jackets, oxygen mask, and other rescue equipment. In an emergency situation, Good knowledge and understanding of these procedures is essential to ensure passenger safety.

What to do during CET?
In addition to training materials, Fire fighting activities are also an important part of CET. Participants are given intensive training in identifying and extinguishing various types of fires on board. They are trained in using fire extinguishers properly, and in dealing with the challenges associated with such an emergency situation. This fire fighting training aims to improve the ability of the cabin crew to respond quickly and effectively in controlling and extinguishing fires.
Furthermore, Handling first aid is also a focus in CET. Participants are trained in providing emergency medical assistance to passengers in need, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding treatment, or treatment of other injuries. These skills are essential in providing immediate assistance before further medical treatment can be provided upon arrival on land.
During training, participants also engage in a simulation using an airplane mockup. It provides practical experience in dealing with realistic emergency situations. Participants can better practice evacuation skills and handling emergency situations through this exercise. Airplane mockups are designed to reflect the real conditions they will encounter, thus enabling them to take the right action with confidence.

Besides that, Wet drill activities are also an important part of CET. Wet drills involve simulating an emergency situation on water. Emergency landing in water or evacuation from an airplane landing in water. Participants are trained to use rescue equipment. Equipment such as buoys and rubber boats, and follow safe evacuation procedures. Through this exercise, cabin crew learn how to respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies involving water.
During CET, participants were also involved in various other activities aimed at increasing their preparedness in dealing with emergency situations. They are involved in first aid training, where they learn techniques for treating injuries and providing emergency medical assistance to passengers in need. Fire fighting training is also an integral part of the program, where participants are trained to identify and extinguish various types of fires in aircraft.
