On Wednesday, 26 June 2024, FAAST Aviation held an enthusiastic Welcome Ceremony to welcome the June class of students 2024. This event aims to introduce the campus environment, management staff, as well as providing inspiration through experience sharing sessions from alumni who have been successful in the world of work.
Preparation and Implementation of Events
Since morning, The atmosphere on the FAAST Aviation campus already feels festive. The new students looked enthusiastic and eager to take part in the series of events that had been prepared. The main hall of the campus is decorated with blue and white decorations, reflects the dynamic and professional identity of FAAST Aviation.
The event starts at 09.00 WIB with opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC) which warmly welcomes new students. The MC gave a brief overview of the day's events and introduced the main purpose of the Welcome Ceremony.
Introduction to Management
The first session was filled with an introduction to FAAST Aviation management. FAAST Director, opened the session with an inspirational speech. He conveyed the vision and mission of FAAST Aviation and underlined the importance of dedication and discipline in undergoing education at FAAST. Apart from that, it also introduces other management staff who will be part of the students' educational journey.
The management staff introduced included heads of academic departments, head of operational department, and several lead instructors. Each introduced themselves and provided a brief description of their roles and responsibilities. It is hoped that this introduction can help new students feel more familiar and comfortable in the campus environment.
Sharing Session with Alumni: Sister Tasya
After the management introduction session, The event continued with a sharing session which was eagerly awaited by the students. Sister Tasya, one of the FAAST Aviation alumni who now works as a flight attendant at the Indonesian Railways (KAI), present to share experiences and inspiration.
Kak Tasya tells about her career journey since graduating from FAAST Aviation. He shared the challenges and opportunities he faced in the world of work, and how education at FAAST equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge. Ms. Tasya's success story provides great motivation for new students to try and work hard to achieve their dreams.
Apart from sharing experiences, Sis Tasya also provides practical tips on how to deal with the job selection process, maintain professionalism, and develop yourself in the world of aviation. The students were very enthusiastic and actively asked questions, take advantage of this valuable opportunity to gain insight and advice directly from successful alumni.
Closing and Group Photo
The Welcome Ceremony ended with a group photo session. New students, management staff, and Kak Tasya gathered on stage to take photos as a souvenir. These photos will become valuable documentation that students will always remember.
After the photo session, The MC closed the event by thanking all parties who had participated and helped organize this event. New students were given the opportunity to interact further with management staff and Ms. Tasya, develop closer relationships and get additional guidance if needed.
Conclusion
Welcome Ceremony FAAST Aviation Class of June 2024 was successful and gave a positive impression to new students. Introduction to management helps them feel more familiar and comfortable in the campus environment, while the sharing session with Kak Tasya provided inspiration and motivation to achieve success in the world of work.
