The event which took place at the Grand Smile Hotel aims to equip students with a deep understanding of eating eating good and correct in various formal situations. This knowledge is very relevant for those who will work on the field of flight, hospitality, and other service industries.
What is table manner?
Table Manner, or what is often called eating ethics, is a set of rules that regulate the procedures for good and polite eating in an official banquet. This activity involves several stages starting from the opening (appetizer) up to cover (dessert). Besides that, Participants are also taught about the ethics of the use of cutlery, the right way to sit, how to eat and drink, and the ethics of speaking during a banquet. This skill is very important, especially when dealing with important guests, business colleagues, or even in official government and kingdom events.

Table Manner's activity this time feels more special because it is held at the Rooftop Hotel Grand Smiling, which offers extraordinary beautiful views. From this location, Students can enjoy the beauty of the iconic Jogja monument, especially in the afternoon before sunset. The atmosphere was more perfect when the sun slowly sank in the western horizon, Provides an eating experience that is not only educative but also spoiled the eyes. This view gives a special touch to the event, make the atmosphere warmer and full of memories for all participants.
A series of table manner activities
Table Manner activities carried out at the Grand Smile Hotel went smoothly and in an orderly under responsibility. This activity involves 27 students from the stewardess/flight attendant study program and 2 students from the hospitality study program. Besides that, Faast management and team from the Grand Smile Hotel also participated to ensure the activities went well.
The activity begins with Hotel Tour, where students are invited to get to know more about the various facilities and rooms in the hotel. This is a valuable experience for them to understand how a hotel operates and what services are provided for guests.
Furthermore, primary session Table Manner carried out with full enthusiasm. In this session, Students learn how to apply good and correct eating ethics under the guidance of experienced instructors. The menu presented includes Bitter Ballen with Coleslaw Salad, Crab Meat Soup, Pepper beef steak with fried potatoes, Basic Chocolate Truffles, as well as Tea and coffee. Every stage of food is accompanied by a clear explanation of the procedures for eating it.
Besides that, There was a session Live Cooking & Live Beverage which adds students' vision of how to make dishes and drinks at the hotel. Action Fire Juggling displayed by the hotel team also adds to the excitement of the event.

Based on the results of the evaluation carried out after the activity, The majority of students stated that they were very satisfied with the implementation of this activity. They feel that the material presented is very informative and in accordance with their needs in the world of work. Trainer is considered capable of delivering material well, and the facilities provided are also adequate.
